Daniel Goranson

Daniel S. Goranson, age 52, died unexpectedly at his home on Sept. 11, 2021.

He was born in St. Paul, MN on April 8, 1969 to David and Joan Goranson of Siren, WI.

He graduated from Siren High School in 1987, right after school, Dan joined the Army National Guard, 724th Engineer Batallion and served for 10 years.

Dan made Siren his home, where he would raise his 2 children, daughter Alison Owens and son, Casey Goranson. Along with his cat he so loved, Patches.

Dan was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved to play music for his friends on the guitar and was a huge NASCAR fan. The past few years he enjoyed ice racing on Clam Lake with his son Casey. Dan was employed by Hopkins Sand and Gravel in Webster, WI for many years and would become to be known as “Yardman Dan”.

He is preceded in death by his father, David Goranson Sr.; and brother Paul Erickson.

He leaves behind his mother, Joan Goranson; daughter, Alison Owens; son, Casey Goranson; brothers, Dwayne Goranson, Dave Goranson Jr, Doug (Lynda) Goranson, Mike (Derris) Erickson, Todd (Nancy) Erickson, Kerry Erickson, Scott Erickson; and step-sister, Stephanie Kirk; along with many nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life will be held at Jeds Laker Lounge in Siren, WI on October 16, 2021 from 1:00-4:00.
