Cynthia Throngard

Cynthia "Cindi" L. Throngard of Grantsburg Township passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2014 at the age of 61 years. Cindi was born November 18, 1952 in Rugby, North Dakota to Alvin and Ella Sanderson, and was the oldest of two daughters.  In September of 1974 she married Michael B. Throngard and they settled into life in Voyager Village.  Together they had four children and eventually came to Grantsburg.  Once the children were in school she began work at the Grantsburg Elementary School as a Secretary.  After many years at the Elementary School she went to the High School  and became the Technology Secretary and took care of many, many other duties.  In her free  time  Cindi enjoyed the performing arts, gardening and quilting.  She discovered a brand new love 10 years ago when she became a Grandma and found it to be the best hobby of all. Cindi is preceded in death by her father; Alvin. She is survived by her mother;  Ella, her children Missy Stickland (Ed), Naomi (Scott) Rieland, Leif (Dana)Throngard, and Matthew (Brooke Olson) Throngard, her grandchildren; Truman, Bennett, Louisa, Eliana, Zachary, William, Harrison, Tyler, and Lane, her sister; Karen "Kay" (Paul ) Bentrup and many other relatives and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 4-7pm at Grace Baptist Church in Grantsburg. A Funeral Service is scheduled for  Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church in Grantsburg at 11:00am with Pastor David Ahlquist officiating.
