Clifford Wayne Benjamin Sr. “Maaboyagiizhik”, age 76, a resident of Danbury, WI., passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Essentia Health Hospital in Duluth, MN. Cliff was born on November 1, 1947 in Pine County, Minnesota to parents Jim and Nina (Sutton) Benjamin.

Cliff worked at Jamesville Auto as a welder for 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed playing poker and gambling, singing Elvis and Johnny Cash songs and many more on karaoke - he was a BIG Elvis fan, harvesting wild rice and playing pool, but most of all he enjoyed helping raise his grandchildren.

Cliff is preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters.

He will be greatly missed by his children, Clifford Benjamin Jr., Kimberly Benjamin and Constance Benjamin; grandchildren, Alexia, Nichole, Mark Jr., Clifford III, Alyssia, Kassidy, Jacob, Tristan and Marissa; great grandchildren, David, Liam, Chris and Hazel; brother, Randy Benjamin; sisters, Judy Carlson, Laurie along with other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call after 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Danbury Tribal Center with funeral services held on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM with Spiritual Leader Baabiitaw. Interment will follow at the Stevens Lake Cemetery in Lake Lena, Minnesota. Pallbearers are Mark Stoner Jr., Clifford Benjamin III, Jacob Berg, Tristan Benjamin, Shawn Stevens and Virgil Benjamin. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Thomas, Robert Johnson, Rick Pardun, Nakota Benjamin, Delbert Benjamin Sr. and Mark Stoner Sr.
