Charlotte J. Hillman, age 70, a resident of Luck was greeted by Jesus with open arms on May 18, 2020.
Charlotte was born at home on May 3, 1950 in Siren to Clyde and Alma Hillman.
Charlotte was a graduate of Siren High School. She married Rodger Sommerfeld on April 29, 1972. She worked for Whirlpool from 1969-1971, then became a housewife and was able to be at home to raise her family until 1994. She taught Sunday and Bible School and was a Leader for Brownie Troop while the girls were young. After the girls went off to school, she took a position at Northern Manufacturing where she worked until 1996.
Charlotte moved from the Siren area to White Bear Lake, MN on to Springfield, MO, spent some time in Green Bay which was her most favorite as she was a very true Packer fan and was able to attend a game while there. She then spent some time in Rice Lake and finally settling in Luck.
Her family was important to her and she spent all the time she could with her girls and the grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, watching tv and cheering on the Packers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dick; a half brother; grandson, Elise Sommerfeld and Uncle Ray Hillman.
She is survived by her daughters, Polly (Brad) Chartrand and Pam (Lance) Thebo; 3 grandchildren; siblings; Avis Baker, Shirley Mack and Audrey Aaronson; along with other relatives and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2:15 PM at the Lakeview Cemetery in Hertel. Pastor Steve Ward and Rev. Marion Mielke will officiate. Casketbearers will be Rodger Sommerfeld, Lance Thebo, Brad Chartrand, Allen Jeffery, Alex Chartrand and Wyatt Chartrand. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
