Charles Pardun

Charles E. Pardun Charles “Chuck” E. Pardun, age 50, a resident of Frederic died on September 1, 2008. Chuck was born November 30, 1957 in Frederic to Stanley and Geraldine Pardun. He was raised in Blaine, Minnesota and attended Spring Lake Park High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in April 1976 and received an honorable discharge in October 1977. He moved to the Burnett County area before settling in Polk County where he worked for Colonial Craft and the Polk County Sheriff’s Department. At the present time, he was employed at the Inter County Leader in Frederic and worked on call night availability at Hazelden. He will be fondly remembered for his radiant smile and wonderful sense of humor. He had a compassionate, playful and giving spirit that touched the lives of many children and people of all ages. He was very proud of his children and an inspiration to his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed taking trips, playing games, music, movies, bon fires, motorcycles, and hanging out with his family and friends. Chuck also enjoyed working in his yard which he affectionately named “Sewell’s Park.” Chuck died peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer with his loving mate, Arlene at his side and his nurse cat Banjo at his feet. He is survived by his beloved mate Arlene Murtaugh, children Don (Sonya) Murtaugh, Amber (Shad) Pardun, Dannen and Tia Kroschel, grandchildren Andrew, Allie, Austin, Breanna, Chase, and Danaelle, siblings Lonnie (Patricia) Pardun, Catherine (Paul) Babbage, Christine (Stephen) Chell, step father John Cullen, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster with Pastor Freddie Kirk officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 9-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Music was provided by Dave & Cynthia Demar, Jay Stackhouse, and Dave Peloquin (Siren United Methodist Mens Chorus). Internment will be at the Danbury Cemetery in Swiss Township, Burnett County, Wisconsin. Honorary casketbearer was Mitch Harrington. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
