Carolyn Lostetter

Carolyn Mae Lostetter, 90, of Grantsburg, WI formerly of Ellsworth, WI passed away peacefully on June 18, 2023 at the Burnett Medical Continuing Care Center.

She was born on January 10, 1933 in Ellsworth, WI to parents Edgar and Beatrice Johnson. She married Eugene Lostetter on June 18, 1955 in Ellsworth where they lived and had 4 children. They moved to Grantsburg, WI in 1976. Carolyn worked as a nurse’s aide until having children. After the children were in school, she worked at Ben Franklin then at Parker Hannifen until she retired.

She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, camping up north and going on there many trips. She also enjoyed baking cookies for the church and working on quilts on quilting day at the church. She has made many afghans and washcloths for family and friends. In their younger years they used to cycle and snowmobile.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; son, Ronald; and daughter, Debra.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Rick) Danielson and Barry (Dawn) Lostetter; son-in-law, Kevin Lysdahl; grandchildren, Ryan, Devin, Doni Jo (Jason), Ricky (Lisa), Cole (Sarah), Beau (McKenzie), Jeremy (Ashley), Lauren (Justin) and Luke; great grandchildren, Sammy, Kelsey, Mackenna, Carter, Trenton, Kinsley, Ayla, Josslyn, Harlow, Rhett, Vivian, Kya, Jermey Jr., Enzo and Rome; along with many friends.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM (visitation from 9-10 AM) at Bethany Lutheran Church in Grantsburg, WI., with Pastor Jay Ticknor officiating.
