IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR MOTHER DEAREST
Carol R. Steiner, 81, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away unexpectantly, early morning of Friday, July 30, 2021, while visiting family in Wisconsin.
Carol was born in Spokane, Washington, on November 24, 1939, the daughter of Robert & Grace Dury. She was devoted to her grandchildren with a lifelong passion for teaching elementary children of all ages. When most kickback, she received her Doctorate in Education in her later years and continued to teach within the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Waianae, Hawaii, then on to missionary service in Thailand and Bangladesh. And up until last year at Glenview Adventist Academy in Phoenix, Arizona. She lived to love serving her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
She stayed relevant and current on social media to the end, connected by her iWatch and the most recent iPhone; she embodied the "six degrees of separation" to a tee, keeping all of our extended family better connected. Carol loved pink & white roses, and if they grow in heaven, please, Lord, pick a bunch of them for us and place them in our mother dearest's arms; we will sorely miss her on this earth.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Jim Roggow, daughter Cathi Newman, and sister Sandra Vowels.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Roger Steiner; her son, Craig Roggow and his wife Basilisa, daughter Carolyn Roggow; sister, Peggy Davis; and numerous grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. Online condolences can be made at www.swedberg-taylor.com.
