Bruce Johnson

February 12, 1952 — April 10, 2017

Bruce W. Johnson, age 65, of Siren, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at his residence. Bruce was born on February 12, 1952 in Siren to parents, Dean (Rambo) and Budd Johnson. He attended Siren High School and graduated in 1970. After graduation, Bruce worked in local bridge construction for 10 years. He then went on as a self-employed contractor servicing the Burnett County Area until his retirement in 2007. In life, Bruce had a very quiet personality, however, when he did have something to say, it was full of sarcastic humor that would make just about anyone laugh. In his free time, Bruce could be found on his Husqvarna lawn mower cutting the grass to perfection. He enjoyed listening to country western music and watching old country western movies. He also greatly enjoyed his time spent “socializing” at the Midtown Tavern and Last Call Bar. Preceding Bruce in death are his parents. Bruce is survived by his children, Bruce D. (Rosie) Johnson and Allisa Johnson; siblings: Jerry (Joyce) Johnson, Sandra (Dirk) Benzer and Cheryl Johnson; 9 grandchildren with 2 more on the way; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 11:00am – 3:00pm at the Last Call Bar in Siren. Interment will be held at a later date at the Lakeview Siren Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster. Online condolences may be expressed at www.swedberg-taylor.com
