Bruce Braynard

Bruce E Braynard, age 70 of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. He was born August 9, 1942, in Chicago Illinois to Edgar and Betty Braynard. Bruce worked for the Village of Glencoe as a crew chief where he drafted the equipment they needed and taught welding. He served as the president of the Antioch-Round Lake Bowling League and treasurer at the Antioch Moose Lodge for two years. Bruce also owned and operated his own semi truck business for a few years. After retiring Bruce made home Northern Wisconsin. Bruce met Barbara in 1983 in Antioch, Illinois. They were united in marriage on December 5, 1983. Bruce enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing darts, card games and horseshoes. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Harold; father-in-law Bud Nelson; and son-in-law Roy York. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Barbara, 5 sons and 3 daughters; along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother-in-law Betty Nelson; brothers-in-law Steven (Rhonda) Nelson and Kevin (Darla) Nelson; many nieces and nephews and a great niece. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM (visitation 1-2PM) at the New Hope Lutheran Church in Grantsburg with Pastor Emory Johnson officiating.
