Brenda Adolphson

Brenda Joyce Adolphson, age 53, formerly of Falun, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at her residence at Countryside, one of the Brotoloc Group Homes in Ellsworth, WI. Brenda was born in Siren on May 29, 1961, a daughter of the late Albin E. and Alice V. (Landstrom) Adolphson. She received her education in the Grantsburg School District. In 1981, Brenda was baptized and became a member of First Baptist Church of Falun. She was employed at Diversified Services, Inc. (DSI) of Siren for 19 years. For the past 16 years, Brenda had resided at Countryside Licensed Adult Family Homes and worked at Pro Act for 13 years in Redwing. Both jobs were very important to her and she took it very serious. Family was important to Brenda. She was a kind, loving person who loved to spend time with her family and friends, celebrating birthdays, holidays , going on trips to Peoria, IL to see her aunt, uncle and her cousins whom she loved being around. Brenda adored babies. She loved to dance and she had a special place in her heart for cats and dogs. She had been a participant a number of times in the Special Olympics for bowling and track & field. She thoroughly enjoyed her visits to WI Dells. She and her housemates went to a movie almost every weekend. Another highlight would be staying at the hotel to swim. Brenda lived a very full, wonderful life. She had a distinctive laugh, a wonderful sense of humor, and was quite a jokester. She loved to tease and kid around with others, and pull practical jokes. Brenda has left a significant impression on those that knew and loved her. Surviving are five siblings: Richard (Barbara) Adolphson of Grantsburg, Lois (Butch) Lee of River Falls WI, and Gerald (Bessie) Adolphson, Terry (Mitsy) Adolphson and Kenneth Adolphson, all of Grantsburg; two nieces: Tara Kuske and Lindsey Adolphson; seven nephews: Scott Lee, Curt Lee, Darrin Lee, Rick Adolphson, Bradley Adolphson, Brandon Adolphson, and Patrick Adolphson; several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; and many friends. The service celebrating the life of Brenda Adolphson will be conducted at 12:00 pm (visitation 11:00 am to 12:00 pm) on Monday, January 26, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Falun, 23661 Range Line Road, Siren, WI, with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Siren, following a fellowship luncheon. Casketbearers are: Scott Lee, Curt Lee, Darrin Lee, Rick Adolphson, Bradley Adolphson, and Brandon Adolphson. An additional Celebration of Life service is being planned for Friday, February 6, 2015 at Zion Covenant Church in Ellsworth.
