Betty J. Tromberg, age 77, a resident of Danbury, passed away on April 9, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Betty was born on February 24, 1937 in Trade Lake Township to Joseph and Viola Engelhart. She married Bruce on September 7, 1956 and they moved to the Frederic area in 1978 where they owned and operated the Frederic Bakery for over 25 years. She also enjoyed being in the kitchen at home, cooking and baking for everyone, including the hunting groups each year. Betty was preceded in death by her daughter Shari Runnels; her son Bruce Tromberg; her parents and sister Joan. Betty is survived by her loving husband Bruce; grandsons Mitchell and Cody Tromberg; her sisters Ruth (Roger) Young, Jean (Joe) Pellegrino and Fern Brunclik; brothers James (LaVonne) Engelhart and Robert Engelhart, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 4-7pm at Grace Methodist Church, Webster. The Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11:00 (visitation 10-11 AM) at Grace United Methodist Church in Webster with Pastor Gil White officiating. Music will be provided by Pat Taylor and Dianne Gravesen. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Frederic. Pallbearers will be Joel Wells, Jane Taylor, Becky Tischer, Steve Kissling, Joe Pellegrino and Greg Engelhart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rich and Judy Rheault and Cliff and Carol Brogger. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Webster.
