Betty Kulbeck

Betty J. Kulbeck, age 82, a resident of Webster died peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on July 25, 1927 in St. Thomas, Minnesota to Alphonse and Edna Witzany. Betty's family moved to the Webster area when she was a young girl. Betty married Roger H. Kulbeck on May 15, 1947. They farmed together for over 40 years and had two daughters, Barbara and Janet. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She liked to do puzzles, play cards and games, was notorious for her baked goods and took time to do volunteer work. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Roger and grandson, Jeremy Parenteau. Betty is survived by her daughters, Barbara Parenteau of Algoma, Wisconsin and Janet (Mike) Young of Alexandria, Minnesota; grandchildren, Jon (Kasha) Parenteau, Jen (Gary) Parenteau, Ben and Matt Young; great grandchildren Ashley and Katie Parenteau; sister Elaine Paulus; brothers Robert (Jane) Witzany, Jack (Jeri) Witzany, and Richard (Judie) Witzany; along with countless friends and relatives. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. A memorial services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Mike Tupa as celebrant. Music will be provided by Kim Simon. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Witzany, Bob Witzany, Rick Witzany, Jon Parenteau, Ben Young and Matt Young. Interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
