Bernadine “Bernie” Marie Olson, 70, Webster, passed away on May 31, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 12, 1944, to Bernard Howard and Johanna Marie (Kaminski) Neinstadt. She lived in Webster, WI., most of her life. After she graduated from Webster High School, she worked at Brown and Bigelow in the St. Paul, Minn., and returned to Webster to work at the UW-Extension Office and the Department of Forestry. Bernie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Kenneth Olson; son, Lance Olson; grandson, Tyrel Olson; and brother, John and his wife, Maureen “Reeny” (Coveau) Neinstadt; brothers-and sisters-in-law, Ray and Irene Olson, Harlo “Butch” and Barb Olson, LaVonne “Bonnie” Olson, Leona “Onie” Curtis and Janet “Tootie” Hokanson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Bernie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Johanna and Bernard; younger brother, Joseph; father-and mother-in-law, Axel and Dolly Olson; sister-in-law, Betty Moser; brothers-in-law, Melvin Olson, Martin Moser, Preston Curtis Sr. and Donald Hokanson; and nephews, Dennis Glimpse and Ronald Hokanson. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Webster Community Center at 1PM on June 14, 2014. Pastor Brian Pardun will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Rod Hopkins, Sr., Kyle Werdier, Larry Staples Jr., Lamar Johnson, Bud Flagstad, Mel Olson, Harlo Olson Jr., Clint Olson, Steve Curtis and Preston Curtis Jr. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Webster.
