Barbara Hoag

Barbara Janice Hoag, 81, of Webster, WI passed away February 4, 2016. Barb was born February 13, 1934 to James and Bernice (Jaeckle) Smith. As a child she grew up and helped out on her parent’s farm. After high school she attended beauty school. In the early 60’s she moved from Palmyra, Wisconsin to northern Wisconsin with her husband Norm and Daughter Denise. Barb had always been a hard worker and worked a number of different jobs. She enjoyed coffee with family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and her flowers. Barb spent many weekends and holidays at the lake with family, where she could sit by the fire or go fishing. She retired from the Inter County Leader at the age of 78. Barb is preceded in death by parents, James and Bernice; husband, Norm and son in law David Knott SR. She leaves behind daughter, Denise (Dave Butterbrodt); granddaughter, Nicole (John) Kevo; grandson, David Knott Jr. (Sandy); great grandchildren, Silas, Jace, and Alena. Also many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016, 1pm (visitation from 12-1pm) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home Webster, WI with pastor Carl Heidel officiating.
