Arnold Ahrens

Arnold Ahrens, age 72 of Grantsburg, WI passed away on May 26th, 2013. Arnold is survived by daughter Ruth; sons, Eric and Bradley (Lisa); grandchildren Thomas, Timothy, Tyler, Nolan and Mason; and brother Gerald Ahrens. Born September 14, 1940 he grew up in Minneapolis and he served honorably for the USMC. He was then a truck driver for 30+ years with Vincent Brass and Aluminum and most recently Ryerson. He also enjoyed the outdoors by spending many hours on the lakes and time in the woods hunting. Arnie particularly enjoyed the game of cribbage and crushing his opponents on a consistent basis. The Ahrens family would like to thank his friends in Grantsburg that helped us in the last three years with doctor appointments and in so many other areas. It was truly a blessing. We would like to extend a special thank you to Leah and other staff members at Burnett Medical Center for their help and gracious care. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM (visitation 12-2 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Grantsburg Chapel. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Grantsburg.
