Annetta, 82, born July 4, 1936 in St. James, MN. passed peacefully June 1, 2019 at United Pioneer Home in Luck, WI surrounded by people she loved.
Annetta spent her formative years in St. James, MN then after her graduation in 1954 moved to the twin cities and started her career at First National Bank.
She wed Ken Stevenson in 1957 and together they had two daughters, Lois and Connie. In 1968 she wed Edgar Miller and this union produced Janelle Miller. Her third husband was Paul Wolf and they loved to travel. All shared her love of dancing and singing and preceded her in death were they were waiting to sign her dance card once again. During these years she was also employed by National Car Rental and then at US Federal Credit Union until her retirement.
Annetta was proud of her accomplishments and attention to detail during her employment but she was equally, if not more proud of her extra activities. Playing the piano, singing in church choirs, being a Sunday School teacher, Director of the Bloomingtones singing group and was often called the “Belle of the Ball” at many local dances. This love of song and dance filled her world, and ours, with music until the end. She spoke often of dancing at the Prom Ballroom, Crystal Lake, Mt. Olivet singles and many other places over the years. Her dance card was always full and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dedert and Julia May (Wright) Gruis and Brother Donavan. She is survived by three daughters Janelle (Harland) Miller-Coulter, Connie Nye, Lois (John) Seaburg, Sisters Phyllis (Karl) Lehman, Ardys (Lowell) Sieg, Brother David (Murlene) Gruis, Grandchildren Alex Miller, Jennifer Nye, Justin Seaburg, Melissa Robinson, Nicole & Haley Coulter and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am Saturday, July 13th at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 507 Wisconsin Ave N, Frederic, WI 54837.
