Agnes “Aggie” M. Anderson , age 76, of Barronett, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Indianhead Medical Center in Shell Lake, WI. Aggie was born on May 30, 1941 in Ashland, WI, to parents, Anne (Stepan) and Frank Zalabsky Sr. She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1959. Aggie was united in marriage to Neil H. Anderson on September 28, 1963 in Owen, WI. The couple then moved to Barronett where they were dairy farmers for 33 years. The three children, Forrest, Boyd and Janell were raised on the farm. She would also help Neil in the barn. Aggie was involved in town government for many years and served as Washburn County Treasurer for 10 years. She was also involved with the 4H as a leader and exhibiting at the Washburn County Fair. She, along with Neil and two other neighbors co-authored a book `A Journey Through Barronett’, which chronicled Barronett’s history. She enjoyed gardening, bowling and her weekly visits to the casino where she often was quite lucky. Aggie was known for being a great baker who would bake her own bread every week. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Preceding Aggie is her husband, Neil in 2014; granddaughter, Kacie; parents, Frank Sr. and Anne Zalabsky; brother, Frank Jr.; in-laws, Harold and Eva Anderson; brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Janet Anderson; brothers-in-law, Howard Lahti and Archie Sherar. Aggie is survived by her children: Forrest (Angie) Anderson of Shell Lake, Boyd (Cheryl) Anderson of Shell Lake, Janell (Steve) Sacharski of Spooner; grandchildren: Ashley (Brady) Marschall, Trevor Anderson, Amber Anderson, Marty Anderson and Megan Anderson all of Shell Lake; sister, Joann Lahti of Ahmeek, MI; sisters-in-law, Terry Sherar of Pacifica, CA; Gayle Anderson of Millbrae, CA; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Barronett Civic Club from 3:00-5:00 pm, with a Time of Remembrance beginning at 5:00 pm and a meal to follow. Interment will be held at a later date at the Lakeside Cemetery in Barronett. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster.
